(second part of the meeting on the summit)
And so the saucer lands on the summit of the Devils Tower - a door opens, and Faunus, and the 'boys' and Teddy enter the UFO - and there they have the long awaited second meeting with the 'aliens' - and there is much to talk about....
With barely a sound, the huge saucer slowly descended onto the summit of the Devils Tower.
"So here we are, stuck on this little 'mountain-thingy' - it's night - and we're over five hundred feet up - and we're about to be squashed by a big 'saucer-thingy' !", Ethan said despondently.
"Don't worry, Ethan...", Faunus said confidently.
"They know we're here - so I don't think they'll land on top of us."
And in fact the saucer didn't squash anybody.
Actually, it landed close to them, flattening the scrubby grass, and then it  just sat there... making a low pitched humming sound.
The Saucer Lands on the Summit of the Devils Tower
"Shit..!, it's huge...!", Glen said.
"So now we just wait ?", Ethan asked, and as he spoke the shape of a door, outlined by a crack of white light appeared in the lower part of the saucer.
"Ah !... that's better.", Ethan said.
Unlike on the previous occasion, however, as the panel slid open, there was no 'alien' figure to greet them, but just a large, rectangular opening, emitting a bright, blueish light from the interior.
"I think they want us to go in..", Teddy said.
"Well... let's go...", the now, ever-confident Glen said.
"What do we do with the 'scope ?", Jim asked.
"Best leave it there..." Ethan said.
I can't see anyone coming up here at this time of night to steal it."
Faunus then turned to the others.
"Let's go then, unless anyone has second thoughts."
No one demurred, and they all trudged off to the open hatchway.
When they got to the hatch there were no 'aliens' about - and the ship seemed oddly deserted - so they continued.
The only sound then was that of faint humming, and the muffled sound of their trainers as they entered the metallic interior of the 'alien' craft.
"Hi !... We're home, guys !", Ethan called out, mimicking his usual greeting on arriving back at the 'Penthouse' in 'Vegas.
Still silence.
"Calm down, Ethan.", Faunus said quietly... "There might be a problem".
"There's no problem...", Teddy said.
"I can hear the 'little ones' scurrying along...
They seem excited.", Teddy added.
"You and your super-sensitive ears, Teddy.", Ethan said disdainfully.
Moments later a row of six 'aliens' presented themselves.
Like before, at Corona, they were seemingly smaller than the 'alien leader', but somewhat taller than Teddy.
The were completely silent, but looked, in a strange way, pleased to see their human guests, (human that is except for Faunus and Teddy).
"Well I think they're 'cute'... Ethan said.
"Couldn't we take one back with us as a playmate for Teddy ?", Ethan asked Faunus.
Teddy look suitably unimpressed.
"Ethan, I really don't want a little naked, 'grey alien' for a playmate... and also they haven't got any hair or fur.", Teddy explained, looking suitable annoyed.
"And anyway, I already have you...", and then Teddy looked embarrassed, realizing that he had probably given too much away in company.
"True...", Ethan said. "And they probably don't eat cheeseburgers."
"Now... if you're going to go on like this, you two, I think you might get us into trouble - so less talking. ", Faunus interrupted, hoping to bring the rather foolish conversation to an end.
Inside the 'Space-craft' - the 'Alien Leader'
The small aliens were trying to guide Faunus, Teddy and the 'boys' into what was presumably the appropriate section of the craft, but their understanding of human gestures was a bit odd, and to begin with there was some confusion - but then the human guests finally found themselves in a large compartment where the 'alien leader' was waiting for them.
As they approached, the 'alien leader' raised his right hand.
Faunus was unsure if it was a sign for them to stop, or a sign of greeting.
Regardless, he stood still, and the others took their cue from him.
The 'alien leader' then began, - speaking, and at the same time sending a clairvoyant message - which Faunus and Teddy could pick up quite easily - but the others were unable to interpret.
"Greetings !...", he began, very formally.
Ethan jumped, forgetting that this 'alien', at least, could actually speak.
"Young blond human (meaning Ethan)...
It gratified me very much to hear you say this was 'home', as you say, but in your mind you were not entirely serious... but I appreciated the sentiment.", the 'leader' began, in a rich sonorous voice.
"Gee, thanks...", Ethan replied.
"That's what we humans call 'humor' - but I think it might be some time before you guys get the hang of it...
And I see you've done something about 'the voice' since last time... much more dignified.", Ethan added.
"Thank you...", the leader replied
"And I see you have brought with you the entity you call 'Glen' - and also your furry 'pet'.", the 'leader' continued, seemingly ignoring the comment about 'humor'.
"I'm not a 'pet' !" Teddy said, obviously insulted.
"I'm sorry.
Someone used that word the last time we met - but I really don't know what it means.", the 'alien leader' said apologetically.
"Right... well I'm a teddy-bear." Teddy said coldly.
"Thank you... I shall remember that. ", the 'leader' said.
"And what about 'Glen'... Is he functioning properly ?", the 'leader' awkwardly asked.
"I think you mean is he 'well'... 'fit'...", Jim suggested.
Glen looked a little peeved, apparently not enjoying the fact that people seemed to be talking about him as if he wasn't there.
"Yes... actually I'm very well, thank you.", Glen said boldly.
"Mainly thanks to Faunus."
"And haven't we met before ?", Glen then asked hesitantly.
Young Glen
"Well...", and the 'leader' paused to think..., "I have met someone very like you... but I doubt if you would remember much of that meeting... but no matter... I'm sure we can be 'friends'.", the 'leader' concluded, enigmatically.
"So... let's get 'down to business'... ", Faunus suggested.
"Business ?", the 'leader' said, obviously not fully understanding.
As in the previous meeting (at Corona), it was quite obvious that the 'aliens' were not entirely familiar with many cultural colloquialisms. A colloquialisms is 'vernacular' language including everyday language, everyday speech, common parlance, informal language, general parlance, and common expressions. Interestingly, many reported accounts given by abductees, and those who have had contact with 'aliens' rarely mention the fact that 'aliens might not comprehend colloquialisms. This is not often commented upon, but brings into question the veracity of such reported contacts - unless of course such contacts were 'internally generated' experiences - in other words 'fantasies' or 'hallucinations'.
"Yes...
It seems obvious that you contacted Glen, telepathically, by feeding him with images.
Some were of yourself, and some were of this place in Wyoming.
So why did you choose this place to meet - after all, it was very inconvenient for us to come here...", Faunus asked.
"No shops, you see !", Ethan interrupted.
Faunus looked to Ethan annoyed, and the 'alien leader' looked completely uncomprehending when 'shops' were mentioned.
"Ethan - he probably doesn't know what shops are...", Jim explained, trying to be helpful.
Glen just grinned, finding the whole conversation extremely weird.
"Shops ?... this is connected with 'business'... somehow ?", the 'alien' speculated.
"Yes... a bit... but just forget it...", Ethan said.
"So what's so special about this place !", Faunus asked.
"It's 'special'.", the 'alien leader' replied.
"Oh shit... I think he's got caught in one of those 'logic loop thingys'.
Perhaps you should 're-boot' him, Faunus.", Ethan said, shaking his head.
"I do not need 'rebooting', as you call it, blond human.", the 'leader replied, sounding for the first time a little annoyed.
"OK... but it's Ethan... not 'blond human' - after all we're all blond, apart from Faunus... even Teddy.", Ethan said, wanting to put things straight.
"OK... let's all calm down.", Faunus said, trying to get to the original point about what was 'special' about the Devils Tower.
"What do you mean by saying the Devils Tower is 'special' ?", Faunus asked slowly and clearly.
"It is 'special', Sir, because of some very ancient stories.
A Very Ancient Story
Kitchi Manitou - The Great Spirit
The 'Devils Tower', as you call it, is associated with Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka - also known to these 'primitive' tribal groups as 'Kitchi Manitou'.
These names in your language mean the 'Great Spirit', the 'Creator of All Things', and the name  is sometimes translated as the 'Great Mystery'.
'Manitou' is omnipresent, and manifests everywhere - organisms, the environment, events... all things.", the 'alien leader' explained.
"Well, your English has certainly suddenly improved !", Ethan said.
"And what's all this 'Sir-thingy' when talking to Faunus ?"
The 'alien leader' turned to Ethan.
"We have the words for philosophical matters about which I now speak, but not for your 'shops', and 'business' and such things...", the 'alien leader' said with great seriousness.
Faunus looked at Ethan
"That's worth thinking about...".
Ethan said, looking suitably chastened.
The 'Great Spirit' - in the Form of the 'Thunderbird'
Over the 'Devils Tower'
"Yes, but what does 'omnipresent', and 'manifests' mean ?", Ethan whispered.
"Don't worry Ethan, I'll tell you later.", Teddy said quietly.
And the 'alien leader' continued....
"To answer your other question, we call your 'leader', Faunus, 'Sir' because we believe that is a suitable title for someone of great power and wisdom.", the 'alien leader' explained.
"Oh... sorry I spoke...", Ethan replied, forgetting that the 'alien' would have no understanding of sarcasm.
The 'alien leader' continued - regardless.
"Native tribes believe that the 'Great Spirit', Kitchi Manitou, shows itself on occasions in the storm and the lightning, in the form of the 'Thunderbird' - a supposedly 'divine being' that hovers protectively over this mountain that you call the 'Devils Tower'.
Oglala Symbol
It is this lightning that is the visible sign of the energy that we use to alter the nature of the dimensions, so that we can move through those dimensions, and appear, as you see us, in the form of a circular disked craft.", the 'alien leader' explained.
"That's amazing !", Jim said.
"So there is a connection between yourselves and the Native American Indians."
"Well yes... but not a direct connection.
We have often been in the areas where the Native American tribes have lived, and there has been unavoidable contacts.
Much of the time they have misinterpreted who and what we are, but we have allowed that, as it seemed to have a beneficial influence on their society and culture.
'Arapaho' Warrior
You see I said that they were 'primitive', but only in terms of their 'material technology' - and that was probably to their benefit.
But other knowledge - knowledge of the natural world, of their connections between one another, of what they call 'things of the spirit', and of the positions of the planets and stars, the animals, plants and climate... that has always been highly advanced.
"Cool...", Ethan said, obviously impressed.
"You mean you are cold, 'young Ethan' ?", the 'alien leader' asked , sounding almost human.
"Oh no... it's just one of those strange modern human sayings.
It means 'very good'... sort of." Ethan explained.
"And I'm glad you got my name right..."
("for once" Ethan added quietly).
"Do not worry, Ethan... I always remember.", the 'alien leader' said, sounding a little proud of himself.
"But to answer you again about why we have come to the 'Devils Tower' - there is also a simple reason.
If we land here, the other 'humans' are unlikely to see us, so we feel safe.", the 'alien leader' explained.
"Well that's all very clear - and thank you for explaining." Jim, who had, in his usual manner, been very quiet so far, interrupted
"But there were other parts of the dreams that Glen had - that he described to me - that were not of the 'Devils Tower', but of somewhere else - so can you tell us about that. ?"
Glen nodded in agreement, obviously anxious yo have his dreams explained.
"Yes... you are right.
Cañón del Chaco - Chaco Canyon
'Cañón del Chaco' - 'Chaco Canyon'
We showed 'Glen' images of some buildings.
A place we have used often because of it's geo-magnetic proprieties.
Again it is another place that is 'special' for the native tribes from that area.
They too have seen an image of the sacred 'Thunderbird' there, and so connect it with their idea of the 'Great Spirit'.", the 'alien leader' said.
"And where is this 'special' place ?", Glen asked.
"The 'primitive' native tribes call it 'Kin Yazhi Hooghan' , and when the Spanish humans were in the area they called it 'Cañón del Chaco' - 'Chaco Canyon'.
The Ancestral Puebloans (Anasazi) were an ancient Native culture that spanned the present-day Four Corners region of the United States, comprising south-eastern Utah, north-eastern Arizona, north-western New Mexico, and southwestern Colorado. They had  a profound knowledge of celestial sciences that found form in their architecture.  The 'Ancestral Puebloans' also created many petroglyphs and pictographs, and the figures are sometimes phantoms, or 'alien' looking. Many 'Chacoan' buildings may have been aligned to capture the solar and lunar cycles, requiring generations of astronomical observations and centuries of skillfully coordinated construction, and evidence of archaeoastronomy at Chaco has been proposed, with the 'Sun Dagger' petroglyphs as good example.
Aerial Image showing Kivas at 'Chaco Canyon'
The native peoples were deeply interested in the stars, and in many cases believed that they themselves were actually descended from 'Star People'.
Also many had strongly developed 'psychic' abilities, and believed that they could communicate with what they called 'star beings' - often using crystals
"And could they ?", Jim asked.
"It is difficult to tell, human called Jim.
Many humans believe many thing, but often this is what you would call - 'self deception'.
Many humans of 'this time', in 'this and similar worlds', have very fanciful ideas about the ancient Anasazi - the natives who lived here - but they are, in most cases, far away from any possible truth, but then humans are easily misled.", the 'alien' replied.
"Sorry to change the subject,", Ethan interrupted, "but do you 'aliens have such things as seats or chairs - because I'm getting very tired from all this standing."
Faunus smiled.
"Of course, human called Ethan - we forgot how weak you humans are.", the 'alien leader' replied, as four cubes rose up out of the floor at just the right height to sit on.
"Cool... and thanks for the compliment.", Ethan said as he sat down, and put Teddy on his lap.
"The compliment ?", the 'alien' questioned - again obviously not understanding Ethan's further attempt at humour.
Ethan shook his head, and ignored the comment.
"So now we know why you chose the 'Devils Tower', and what the various images were about that appeared in Glen's dreams.
Now if you decide to meet us again... we would prefer to meet at 'Chaco Canyon', if that is possible.
The 'Devils Tower' is a long way from where we come from, and using a helicopter is very awkward.", Faunus said.
The 'alien leader' thought for a moment - and maybe he was communicating with the other 'aliens' in the saucer - or maybe other 'aliens', perhaps far away.
"Yes Faunus... that would not be a problem.
This place is reasonably safe for us.", he replied.
"But where you all originally come from - apart from Glen, and the creature Teddy, is very, very far from here - in another world and another time... we know this for a fact.", the 'alien leader' added.
Faunus decided not to be drawn on that particular statement, and so Jim realizing that Faunus was being careful, thought it best to change the subject.
"So... why did you want to see us for a second time ?", Jim asked.
"We wanted to see how Glen was managing in this world.", the alien explained.
"I'm managing very well... thank you...", Glen replied.
"And the information that Faunus has given you - about how you came to be in you present situation and form... is that satisfactory for you ?". the 'alien' than asked.
"Yes... no problem at all...", Glen replied.
"That's good...", the 'alien leader' replied, apparently satisfied.
"So... to get to the point of this meeting...", Jim began.
Cloned 'Aliens'
The 'alien tilted his head questioningly - presumably having a problem with the expression 'get to the point'.
"I mean 'to talk about the main ideas of this meeting'... you mentioned to Faunus previously that there were problems about 'cloning', emotions, and 'time travel... is that correct ?", Jim asked.
"Yes... that is correct."
Jim then looked to Faunus to check if he should continue.
"So... do you have any suggestions to make about these problems regarding ways that we could help you.", Jim asked.
"Well yes... first we would like to have samples of your 'male gametes'.", the 'alien leader' said.
"Our male whaties ?", Ethan said, completely confused.
"Sperm, Ethan", Teddy said.
"That's creepy... and pervy.",Ethan replied.
"That, of course would not be possible with regard to myself and Teddy, and would not be advisable with regard to Glen.", Faunus said.
"Oh, I see... so it's just me and Jim who are going to be fiddled with.", Ethan said, with a look of disgust.
"And don't you dare say anything, Teddy !",Ethan said threateningly.
"Best go along with it, boys.", Faunus said.
Moments later four of the smaller 'aliens' appeared, took the hands of Jim and Ethan.
Brody
Teddy was left sitting on Ethan's cube-style seat.
"...'should have had Brody here - he would have been great for 'sperm samples'.", Ethan suggested.
Ethan then ruffled Teddy's fur, and said 'farewell' to the others.
"It's been nice knowing you guys - and remember, I love you, Teddy.", Ethan then said, as he was led away by the cute, smaller 'aliens.
After Jim and Ethan had gone, the 'alien leader' turned to Faunus.
"Now with regard to Glen, the matter is delicate.
As you are already aware, we have been in telepathic contact with Glen for some time.
In this, distance is no problem.
We do not, however, need to give him any further dreams, apart from when we want to call you all for further meetings, and then there will be only one brief dream showing out intended location which, as you have requested, shall be 'Chaco Canyon', as you call it.
What we do want to do, however, is monitor Glen's emotional responses to certain situations.", the 'alien explained.
Glen looked alarmed, but waited to see what else the 'alien' had to say.
"Of course Glen would not be aware of what we were doing, and would feel nothing.", the 'alien leader' said reassuringly.
"And what is the purpose of this 'monitoring' ?", Faunus asked.
"It is part of our ongoing study of human emotions.
We feel that we need to experience these emotions for various psychological, social and cultural reasons - but we are very afraid of emotions, and need to know how they might be guided and controlled.
If we do not learn this then the addition of an emotional dimension to our 'make-up' might be disastrous.", the 'alien' leader said.
"I think that he has a good point, Faunus.", Teddy said thoughtfully.
Glen in the Saucer
"Well that's all very well, but how do you feel about this, Glen.
Have you any objections to being 'monitored'.", Faunus asked.
"I'm not sure...
I don't want to be monitored for ever - and I don't really want to be aware of anything weird happening to my brain - or have my brain damaged.", Glen said.
"I can assure you that all you need to do is to tell us that you want it to stop - and we will stop it, and you won't be aware of it in any way, and it will not do any damage to you in any way - but it will be of the greatest help to us - and we hope to find some way to reward you for your co-operation.".
"Well that sounds all right to me then." Glen said.
"Good !", the 'alien' replied.
Then, before they could proceed any further with their discussion, the four smaller 'aliens' returned to the main compartment, bringing with them Ethan and Jim.
"So, Ethan, how was it ?", Glen asked.
"Quite nice, actually...", Ethan replied, grinning.
"And Jim ?", Teddy asked.
"Well, I was rejected.", Jim admitted.
"Not really surprising...",, Ethan commented, as they resumed their seats.
Faunus looked at Jim, wondering.
"Did they give any reason Jim ?", Faunus asked.
"They said to ask their 'leader'.", Jim replied.
"This is all starting to sound embarrassingly medical.... and I don't think I want to know.", Ethan said.
"So... was there a reason ?", Faunus asked, wondering what was going on.
"Well, perhaps you will be surprised... but I'm not sure if you will be...
It all goes back to Jim's origins, a very long time ago, and in a different place.

Αγαπημένοι από τους Θεούς
At that point a huge screen slowly materialized in the compartment, and a large image began to form.
"Golly ! And that's 'so long ago, and so clear' !", Ethan said, wide-eyed.
"Where is that, Ethan ?", Teddy asked.
"It's Athens.", Jim interrupted."... in Hellas..."
"Yes, boys... that is...  to you now... an ancient city, but home to Jim, and also to Ethan.
That is, as the 'humans' say, a 'sacred place' - an area dedicated to their 'gods' - and in this case an entity called 'Αθήνα' (Athena).
Faunus said nothing, but just stared.
The 'alien leader' continued calmly.
"But to explain...
Faunus
Dr.Brandt
We first came upon 'Jim' as he is now called, when we were investigating a human called 'Brandt'.
This Brandt was convinced that the 'boy' in question was not from his own place or time.
Since Brandt was young boy, he had dreamed of travelling through 'space' and 'time' - just childish fantasy - but as time passed this became an obsession.
Brandt had abducted a boy called 'Jim' who he believed was a 'time traveler', and so we made a link - and we followed  'Jim' and his companions all the way to Roswell.
We dropped off an 'alien' for you to find in the desert, and then took him back to our ship after you had changed him into a human form - and then enticed you all into our craft.
'Roger'
But there was a surprise waiting for us - our now esteemed friend, Faunus - who was not human.", the alien leader explained.
"Yes...  and also me...", Teddy piped up.
"Yes, and also you, 'small furry being'.", the 'alien' leader agreed.
"But our first 'target', 'Jim', was not what we had originally imagined.
He was a 'human', yes, but there was something special about him that we needed to investigate.", the 'alien' continued.
"Nosey lot aren't you... always investigating and researching.", Ethan said.
"That is true, 'young Ethan', but we are - shall we say - desperate, and we need all the information and knowledge we can get.", the 'alien leader' explained.
"So what's so special about Jim, apart from the fact he's a very nice guy ?", Ethan asked.
"Well let me try to explain.", the 'alien leader' began.
(Jim thought that this sounded very much like the beginning of one of those long explanations that the 'Boss' would give as they drove along a perfectly straight highway).
"While we seek to travel in time, and to a certain extent, with our technology - we can... in order to find specific events in the 'Akashic' record,  use our ability of telepathy.
In many occult and mystical systems the 'Akashic Record' is a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past - and also in some systems, in the present, and even the future. The record is believed to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the 'etheric plane' - and is related to the concept of the 'holographic universe'.
In researching 'Jim' - whose name in a previous time and place was Markos, or Marcus, we found a very significant statement.
This statement was made, on more than one occasion, by a human called Novius.
Now while most humans are appallingly 'primitive' - although I am not including present company - this human, called Novius, is a highly advanced being.", the 'alien' stated.
Marcus is 'Beloved of the Gods'.
Faunus, it seemed had trained the 'boys' well, as no one reacted, at least in any observable way to the mention of the name Novius.
"And the statement this Novius guy made - well what was it ?", Ethan asked, trying to be casual.
"Now Ethan, it's in a language that you should understand...", the alien leader said.
'Αγαπημένοι από τους Θεούς'
"And what does that mean ?", asked Glen, who did not speak Greek.
"It means, Glen, 'beloved of the gods'..."
Marcus... your 'Jim', is 'beloved of the gods'...", the 'alien leader' explained.
"And what or who are these  'gods' ?", Glen asked who, because he had been programmed as an 'ordinary, modern American boy' felt that, once again, he was being dragged into regions of which he had practically no knowledge.
'The 'gods' are given many names, in 'many worlds', and at 'many times'...", the 'alien leader' began.
An Egyptian Neter - sometimes known as Ra
"In this 'world', the most ancient descriptions of the 'gods' are the Egyptian 'Neteru', and the word 'Neter' refers to the divine names and principles, a word which is usually and wrongly translated, as 'gods' or 'goddesses'
They are the many faces and aspects of the unutterable ONE... the 'Being' that created all the Universes, and all that is.
"Wo... that's really heavy !", Ethan muttered and, as  was expected, the 'alien leader' looked very puzzled, but wisely chose to ignore Ethan's comment.
"So, tell us more about this 'ONE', and the 'neteru'...", Ethan then asked, sounding uncharacteristically interested.
"The Egyptian traditions, and the hidden traditions of those with knowledge of your 'worlds' postulate a remote being - the 'ONE'.
We, of course have no name for that 'Being'.
From this highest 'Being' come lower 'god-like' 'beings', known to the Greeks as 'Æons'.
By 'hidden traditions' the 'alien leader' meant 'occult' traditions, and by 'those with knowledge' he meant 'Gnostics'. The word 'Aeon', (also spelled Æon) originally meant 'life', 'vital force' or 'being', -  it is a Latin transliteration from the koine Greek word ὁ αἰών (ho aion), from the archaic αἰϝών (aiwon). The Æons are emanations of the 'ONE'.
"One of those 'Æons', which you Greeks called the 'Δημιουργός', (Dimiourgós) is believed to have created your 'physical' universe for reasons for that are far too complex to discuss now - but Faunus might tell you some time.
Incarnation of an Æon
At the same time, for a reason not known to us even now, some 'sentient' elements descended into the material 'physical' realm, and are now locked within physical creatures that we know as 'humans'... and also, of course, locked within other creatures elsewhere, and on other worlds - locked in what you humans call DNA."
"Wowy !", Ethan interrupted - this time being quite serious.
The 'alien leader' continued...
"As the millennia progressed, and the beings on various worlds, and in various universes developed, emanations (Æons) from the unutterable 'ONE' descended upon the worlds with the mission of guiding the development of the various groups of sentient beings.
The developing 'beings', of course, took the 'Æons' for what they called 'gods', and it was often essential, in order to give any guidance, to allow such an interpretation.
Ancient 'God-Kings'
One unfortunate effect of this contact was that some of the less evolved 'beings', known as Archons, at a later date, in order to obtain power and material gains over their fellows, claimed that they were descendants of the 'Æons', and so the traditions of the 'God Kings' developed.
In response the 'Æons' later rarely made direct contact with the sentient 'beings' of the worlds, and wielded their influence in more subtle ways.
This of course relates to the αἰών τέλεος (the perfect æon).
But enough of this !...
Perhaps when, or if we meet again, I will explain more - or you can ask Faunus... he is well aware of all these facts -
But to return to the present situation - I was originally saying that Jim was seen by this advanced human, Novius, to be 'beloved of the gods' - who you now know are the 'Æons'... the emanations of the 'ONE'.
With such protection... for whatever reason that has been given, we must tread very carefully.
It may explain why Jim has been conveyed to 'this time' and 'place', in the company of Faunus, but regardless, we are obliged to take great care of him.", the 'alien leader said, very solemnly.
"Yes, that's all very interesting...", .Ethan began.
"But what about us ?"
"You, young Ethan, Novius, and the boy called Josh are all lastingly and enduringly linked to Jim, and so are in our care.", the 'alien' replied, trying to be reassuring.
And Teddy... and Glen ?", Ethan asked.
"Yes... also Teddy and Glen.
Glaux
Teddy, very much, because he is so close to you, Ethan, and also Jim, and Glen because still, in some way,  one of us.", the 'alien leader' continued.
"And 'Glaux' ?", Jim asked.
"Yes... I was wondering when you would ask about Glaux.", the 'alien' responded.
"We know of 'Glaux'...
The owl is not what he seems....
Glaux is no 'bird'...", the alien leader began.
"You're telling me...
He's a menace, with that beak of his.", Ethan said, forgetting himself for a moment.
Glaux and the Æon
known as 'Αθήνα'
"Glaux is an archetypal embodiment of one of the greatest of all the Æons - so I'm not surprised that you fear him.", the 'alien' explained, almost being humorous.
"Yes... well... we have to put up with him, because he was a gift to Jim, or Marcus as he then was... a long, long time ago.", Ethan said with feeling.
"We understand...",  the 'alien leader' said gently.
The 'aliens' manner then suddenly changed - almost as if he had received some telepathic order.
"And now soon it will be time for you to return your world.", the 'alien leader said.
"And which world is that ?", Ethan asked, by then thoroughly confused with all the talk of 'universes' and 'worlds'.
"Why... to the summit of the little mountain from which you arrived...", the 'alien' said.
"Oh good... because I was wondering where we might end up.", Ethan said, and the 'alien' looked at him strangely.
"But first, I wish to communicate with Faunus.", the 'alien leader' said... after which he fell silent.
There then followed a period of telepathic communication between the 'alien leader' and Faunus.
The others sat on their far from comfortable cubes, watching Faunus and the 'alien leader' communicating, while Ethan played with Teddy's ears (surprisingly Teddy likes his ears being played with).

The 'alien leader thanked Faunus for bringing the 'boys' and the 'furry being' called Teddy to the meeting, which he now admitted must have been difficult for them, being on the Devils Tower, and promised that any future meetings would take place at Chaco Canyon, or some other mutually agreed place.
The 'alien leader' wanted Faunus to describe in detail the meeting that they had just had to both Novius and Josh, and asked if Faunus could bring Novius, Josh and the boy called Brody to the next meeting.
The 'alien leader' also suggested that, if Faunus was agreeable, it might be best to have Brody in a 'trance-state', which he understood that Novius could induce in the boy, as Brody was not aware of the true nature of Jim, and the other 'boys' - and also had no knowledge of the 'arcane' contacts which had been occurring to the group recently.
Also the 'alien leader' stressed that it was essential that Brody, if he was brought to the next meeting, would be left with no recollections of the meeting.
Faunus agreed that all this would be possible.
Faunus, for his part, required guarantees with regard to the 'monitoring' of Glen, as had already been discussed and agreed, and also a guarantee that the DNA and other samples that had been taken from Ethan would only be used for study, and not for any biological or genetic experimentation.

The 'alien leader then turned to the 'boys' and Teddy.
"I would like to thank you all for your co-operation and help, and perhaps soon you will return to us for another meeting.", he said very formally.
"No problemos...", Ethan said.
"But if would be nice... if we call again ... for you to turn the heating up a bit.
Parked 'Copter and Jim's Convertible
Us humans like it to be a bit warmer.", Ethan then said, unable to resist being a bit impertinent.
Faunus then took out his 'cell-phone' and called Bob, who was waiting below beside the Devils Tower.
Surprisingly the 'phone worked perfectly despite being in the all metal saucer - or was it metal ?.
Bob, however, was very perplexed to hear from Faunus - particularly as he was asking Bob to return to the summit to pick them up.
"Well that was quick !", Bob said.
"That young Jim must be a very efficient photographer..."
Faunus smiled - as he well knew that time was 'relative', and that while time in the 'saucer' had passed slowly, down below the time had passed at a normal rate.
The 'alien leader' then shook each one of them by the hand (or paw in the case of Teddy).
They were surprised, as the 'alien's had was dry - but very cold - as they had expected it to be wet and clammy.
Corridor in the Saucer
Two of the smaller 'aliens' then led them down a long corridor (seemingly far too long - despite the large size of the saucer - but Faunus assured them that the interior of the saucer was actually far larger than the exterior ?).
On emerging from the same hatchway by which they had entered, they found everything just as they had left it.
Faunus then warned them to stand well back - to where they had left the 'scope and camera on its equatorial mount.
"Gee... it's really nice to be back !", Ethan said, as he looked up at the stars.
In the distance there was a low rumble of thunder.
"So, I suppose they're off now - to wherever they live...
I wonder if we'll see them again ?"... Ethan said wistfully.
"You can bet on it.", Jim said - not really sounding very happy.
They all jumped as there was a flash of lightning, and then some very loud thunder.
"It's to do with the energy they use to travel...", Faunus said.
The saucer itself made practically no noise as it smoothly rose above the summit.
Then, in what seemed like just a moment, it was gone.
"Better take a couple of photos, and get the 'scope dismantled.", Faunus said, as they heard the 'copter rising from below.
By the time the equipment was ready, Bob's helicopter noisily rose above the summit, and then gently landed some distance away.
It took little time to load the equipment into the helicopter, and soon they were 'up and away'.
"You get the 'photos you wanted, Jim ?", Bob asked.
"Oh yes...  it was a clear night, so it was quite straight forward.", Jim replied, hoping that Bob knew next to nothing about photography, and so would not ask any awkward questions.
"Well I look forward to seeing them in the next edition of the 'National Geographic'.", Bob said, as he deftly guided the helicopter to where Jim's white convertible could easily be seen  below.
"Of course.
Mr Johnson has your address, so I'm sure he will send you a copy - although it might be some time before those photos are finally published.", Jim said, trying to be friendly.
Moments later they landed close to Jim's convertible, and said their goodbyes to their skillful and friendly (?) pilot.
They quickly scrambled out of the helicopter - Jim and Glen carrying the 'scope, camera and equatorial mount, and Ethan carrying Teddy, while Faunus gave Bob a final, crisp white envelope.
While Jim and Glen loaded the astronomical and photographic equipment into the trunk of Jim's convertible, Ethan, Teddy and Faunus stood watching Bob's helicopter take off.
"I wonder if Bob will ever realize what you did to him ?", Ethan asked.
"Does it matter ?...", Teddy said,
"After all, he got his money for doing next to nothing... and nobody ever pays me anything !".
"And what would a teddy-bear do with money ?", Faunus asked.
"True....", Teddy said, "apart from buy Ethan a present."
As the 'copter disappeared into the sky, behind the 'Devils Tower', Ethan, with Teddy got into the front seat of the convertible, and Jim settled himself into the driving seat, while Faunus and Glen climbed into the back seat.
Jim then slowly pulled away, and headed across the scrub for the highway.
Highway Back to Sundance
"Well... I'm certainly glad that's over !", Ethan said.
"I thought that you would have got used to flying by now... that was your fourth trip.", Faunus said, sounding surprised.
"Oh no... the flying's not so bad...", and Teddy nodded.
"No, its that pesky 'alien leader'.....
He does go on so...", Ethan said.
"Be careful, Ethan.", Jim said.
"Remember, as far as we know, the 'aliens' are now monitoring Glen, and maybe, through him, they're monitoring you."
Glen looked upset.
"Thanks Jim !
Now nobody's going to say anything worth saying while I'm around.", Glen said, obviously annoyed.
"Now boys !
If you had been listening to the 'alien leader', you might have realized that they don't need Glen to monitor us.
They know what we're doing, saying, and often thinking, wherever we are - and Glen doesn't come into it.", Faunus said, trying to calm things down.
"That's not entirely true, Faunus.", Teddy said.
"They can't monitor you or me, and we can both block all this monitoring business if we feel  it's required.", Teddy explained.
"Yes, true Teddy... I just didn't say all that because I was trying to keep things simple.", Faunus said apologetically.
"Well I think it's good that Teddy explained everything properly, and I think we should all know exactly what the situation really is.", Ethan said.
"So now let's all get back to the hotel and relax.", Faunus suggested.
"Yes... I need to relax because my butt really hurts from those stupid 'cube-chair-thingys' in that pesky cold saucer-thingy !", Ethan said.
Back in Ethan's room, Teddy and Ethan settled down to sleep.
"So what was this 'sample taking' like ?", Teddy asked.
"Actually, quite nice...", Ethan replied, as he gave Teddy  a cuddle.
