In the Hotel in Las Vegas, which was known as 'Club Jaguar', and is now known as 'Club Athena', and which is also a Casino, Restaurant, and the administrative headquarters of the 'Athena Corporation', there is a corridor on a specially reserved floor (the top floor)

Although it is only a typical hotel corridor, in a relatively expensive establishment, there are only two doors available to you on leaving the elevator.

One door is distinguished by a simple 'Number 1' - leading to the administrative headquarters, and the beautifully re-designed, re-furnished and re-decorated office of Jim - the new 'Dominus' (Boss).... and Franklin (but talking to Franklin can be - to say the least - problematic)

At the other door in the corridor is another, identical double-door, which is not 'Number 2' - but oddly enough 'Number 33' ! - and that door leads to almost anywhere....
But be warned - if you are ever in 'Vegas, and you visit the 'Club Athena', and manage to get Max's successor to take you up to the top floor - do not enter Room 33 ! - unless Faunus (or Teddy) is with you.....

Now neither Jim, nor Dr.Lockwood, nor that dubious character Frank, nor Ethan, Zac or Josh, the waiters, nor the bellhops nor the elevator-boys - nor even the members of the 'Penthouse Gang', and not anybody else associated with 'Club Athena' know anything about the significance of the number 33, apart from Faunus, and of course Teddy...
- but as a reader of this story you should be given at least some information:

33 is:

the largest positive integer that cannot be expressed as a sum of different triangular numbers.
the smallest odd rep-digit that is not a prime number.
the sum of the first four positive factorials.
the sum of the sum of the divisors of the first 6 positive integers.
equal to the sum of the squares of the digits of its own square in bases 9, 16 and 31. For numbers greater than 1, this is a rare property to have in more than 1 base.
the smallest integer such that it and the next two integers all have the same number of divisors.
the first member of the first cluster of three semi-primes (33, 34, 35); the next such cluster is 85, 86, 87.
the smallest Diophantine number which has yet to be represented in the form a³ + b³ + c³, where a, b and c are integers....
the number of days of the 'intellectual' cycle in the biorhythm.
the total number of vertebrae of the spinal column of the human body, in which pass 33 pairs of nervous groups
the number of turns in a complete sequence of DNA....

'99 Names of Allah'

More significantly, perhaps, no number holds more esoteric significance than '33'.

The number three is significant in all major religions.

When the two threes are put together facing each other they offer a design that represents the ancient Hermetic maxim 'as above, so below'.

The heavens mirror the earth; the high spiritual entities reflect sentient human beings.

In Islam, of the '99 Names of Allah', the 33rd name is 'al-Azim', the 'Supreme Glory'.

The Hindu 'Rig Veda' is probably the oldest written book in the world, possibly dating from at least as early as 1700 BC.
The 'Rig Veda' describes '33 divinities'.
In another Hindu text, the 'Brihadaranyaka Upanishad', in Chapter 3, it is stated that there are 11 gods in heaven, 11 on earth, and 11 in between - making total of 33 !

'Novus Ordo Seclorum'

As a significant aside, 'The Masonic Great Seal', with the words 'Novus ordo seclorum' ('A new Order of the Ages') was added to the dollar bill in 1933. -

Sibyl of Cumae

The phrase 'Novus ordo seclorum' relates to the 'Fourth Eclogue' of Virgil, naming the Sibyl of Cumae - who plays an important role in 'The Story of Gracchus'.

Also, Julius Caesar, when he was assassinated, was stabbed 33 times.
That event allowed Octavian to become the first Roman Emperor, and Octavian's patron was the Æon Apollo....
Apollo was also the patron of Marcus Octavianus Gracchus -
'Marcus Ultor' - (Marcus the Avenger).
Marcus, in 'another time' and 'another place' was later to be known as James Johnson - 'Jaguar Jim'.....

The Roswell Incident

A long, long time after the death of Julius Caesar, in July of 1947, an alien craft and its crew were found in the desert outside Roswell, New Mexico - at the 33rd Parallel !

More to the point, Jim spent his first night at the 'Club Jaguar' in Room 33 -
and Room 33 is where Faunus 'lives' when in 'Vegas.

Professor Winfried Otto Schumann, a renowned German physicist, on one occasion asked Maria why he saw 33 everywhere in her sketches.
She replied:

'This is the way we get there, from here."

'Dimensional Gateway'

She explained to him that the line of space and time is located at the 33rd parallel around the earth, and it is along this latitude that one finds a 'stargate' (Faunus' 'Dimensional Gateway) where one can escape the earth's gravitational field and travel to the stars.

She added that 'stargates' - ('Dimensional Gateways') - had been used for thousands of years by extraterrestrials who have visited Earth.

Since 15-03-1945, no one has seen Maria Orsic - or have they ?

The number 33 is said to be the 'Master Number' (Master Teacher).

Ammon is the numerical equivalent of 33rd parallel (1+13+5+14=33), and in many traditions Ammon is the 'God of Truth', and 33 represents 'ultimate consciousness'.

And so the Number 33, according to scholars, has great esoteric significance.

In the 'Book of Enoch', Mount Hermon is the place where the 'Watchers', the 'Sons of God, or the 'Nephilim', a class of beings usually considered to be 'Archons', descended to Earth, and Mount Hermon is at 33 degrees latitude and longitude.

There are many 'so-called' conspiracies surrounding the 33rd parallel of latitude - that is 33 degrees north of the Earth’s equatorial plane, - and the 33 degrees in Freemasonry.

Whether or not there are any concrete facts tying them together is probably only known to the likes of Faunus, and has yet to be determined without a shadow of a reasonable doubt by 'sentient mortal beings'.

There are, however, some strange coincidences, and a pattern of both Phoenician (Sidonian - Hebrew - Canaanite) and Masonic endeavors that seem to tie the two together in a 'world wide web'.

Some misguided commentators seem to think it is related to some 'evil' Masonic plot, or that it is some type of grid energy portal used by elementals, Archons, or even the 'everliving' ineffable Æons.

In studying the 33rd parallel of latitude that is 33 degrees north of the Earth’s equatorial plane, it appears that there is a common thread, and probably a method of building that seems to prove that the Phoenicians, who are known as some of the world’s first sea faring conquerors and merchant mariners, had purposely built many of their coastal settlements along the 33rd parallel.

Phoenicians

These first Phoenician settlements can be found all across the globe.

Also, along the 33rd degree, there are many countries apparently founded by Phoenician - such as Lebanon, Jordan, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel etc.

The Masonic link can also be traced back to the Phoenicians.

The Masons have additional degrees for Master Masons, culminating in the 33rd Degree, and the Masons trace their craft back to the Phoenician King Hiram.

This may, of course, be simply a coincidence, but this is unlikely.

It should be noted, however, that there is a connection between the number 33, time, travel, the sun, and the methods the Phoenicians employed to navigate and settle around the globe.

In order to accomplish such a feat at a period in history when there were no satellites, computers or modern compasses, they would need a congruent system put in place that the Phoenician kings, mariners, warriors, masons and slaves could follow so they were all on the same 'global page', even when they were separated by oceans, land and time.

33rd Degree

The possibility is, therefore, that the Phoenicians accomplished this by following the 'laws of the 33rd Degree circle of latitude on the Earth', which was of their own invention, and evidence of which can be found in many ancient Phoenician settlements.

Not all the Phoenician settlements can be found on the 33rd degree, but there are enough to prove that such a theory may in fact be correct.

The 'laws of the 33rd Degree circle of latitude' are based on an imaginary east-west circle connecting all locations (ignoring elevation) with a given latitude.

A location’s position along a circle of latitude is given by its longitude.
The time for rising and setting of the sun is given only for two parallels of north latitude - the 33rd and 39th.

Not even the intervening degrees, 34 to 38, are given.

Thus, on the 34th parallel of latitude, the sun will rise one minute later and set one minute earlier than on the 33rd parallel - and so on.

At the 33rd latitude the sun is visible for 14 hours, 20 minutes during the summer solstice and 9 hours, 58 minutes during the winter solstice.

This time is set by natural laws that the Phoenicians followed, and these laws also allowed them to locate, manage and travel easily between various locations that were spread all across the globe to this very day.

The name Phoenician was applied to them by one particular neighboring people - the ancient Greeks. They, however, referred to themselves as the Sidonians, from the city of Sidon, situated on the 33rd degree parallel.

In the Jewish scriptures they are described as the Hebrew people, or Israelites.

Their history and religion is known from the Jewish Old Testament (Old Law).

The Phoenicians two main ancient political centers were on the island of Crete, in the Mediterranean, and the city located of Sidon, situated in what is now known as the Lebanon.

Sidon is located at 33.55993 latitude, and 35.37564 longitude.

Sidon was situated in the narrow fertile plain between the mountains of Lebanon and Mediterranean 25 miles north of Tyre.

It was the main Phoenician city, and sent ships, using the stars to navigate, around the then known world.

The northern border of ancient Canaan extended to Sidon (Gn 10:19).

Later, Jacob spoke of it as the boundary of Zebulun (Gn 49:13), and Joshua included it as part of the land promised to Israel (Jos 13:6).

Sidon was included in the inheritance of Asher, on its northern boundary (Jos 19:28)

This area provided much of the Cedar timber needed to build Phoenicians ships, and maintain the Phoenician navy and merchant fleet which traded silk, linen embroidery, dies, metals, and glass.

As such, Sidon was one of the Phoenician's main naval ports, and a specific coordinate that they would use to travel and settle in many parts of the ancient world.

In the Jewish Scriptures, the city of Sidon was founded by Sidon, the first-born of Canaan, the son of Ham, from whom the Sidonians are descended.

Phoenix reigned in Tyre and Sidon , and from the name of Phoenix, the Greeks applied the name Phoenicians to the Sidonians.

In Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, Sidon and the Sidonians are mentioned (17 times: Iliad 6.290–91; 23.743-44; Odyssey 4.83, 84, 618; 13.272, 285; 14.288, 291; 15.118, 415, 417, 419, 425, 473).
Homer’s usage appears to relate the term Sidonian with Phoenicians in general .

The ancient Egyptians, however, called the Phoenicians by the name of 'the Sea Peoples'.

City of Tyre - Reconstruction

Tyre, Lebanon, is home to the legend of King Hiram.

Tyre is less than 20 miles north of the 33rd Parallel.

Hiram was the Phoenician King of Tyre in the reigns of the Jewish Kings, David and Solomon, and was on friendly terms with both of them.

King Hiram supplied King David with cedar trees, carpenters and masons who help built David a house.

During the tenth century B.C. King Hiram of Tyre supplied King Solomon with craftsmen, metallurgists, cedar wood, architectural design, and presumably much of the the esoteric symbolism for the construction of Solomon's Temple at Jerusalem. (1 Kings 7: 13-22)

The initiations of Freemasonry are part allegory and part lecture, and revolve around the construction of the (Jewish) Temple of Solomon, and the artistry, and death of his chief architect, Hiram Abiff.

The degrees are those of 'Entered apprentice', 'Fellow-craft' and 'Master Mason'.

The tale of Hiram Abiff, as passed down in Masonic Lodges, underpins the third degree.
Hiram Abiff (the Widow's Son), is the central character of an allegory presented to all candidates during the third degree in Freemasonry.

Hiram is presented as the chief architect of King Solomon's Temple, who is murdered in the Temple he designed by three apprentices during an unsuccessful attempt to force him to divulge the Master Masons' secret passwords.

The themes of the allegory are the importance of fidelity, and the certainty of death.

As the Temple is nearing completion, three 'fellow-craft masons' from the workforce ambush him as Hiram Abiff leaves the building, demanding the secrets of a master mason.

Hiram is challenged by each in turn, and at each refusal to divulge the information his assailant strikes him with a mason's tool.

He is injured by the first two assailants, and struck dead by the last.

His murderers hid his body under a pile of rubble, returning at night to move the body outside the city, where they buried it in a shallow grave marked with a sprig of acacia.

As the Master is missed the next day, Solomon sends out a group of fellow-craft masons to search for him.

The loose acacia was accidentally discovered, and the body exhumed to be given a decent burial.

The hiding place of the murderers was also discovered, and they were brought to justice.

Solomon informs his workforce that the secrets of a master mason are now lost.

He replaces them with substitutes - based on gestures given, and words spoken upon the discovery of Hiram's body.

While many different versions of these rituals exist, with two different lodge layouts and versions of the Hiram myth, each version is recognizable to any Freemason from any jurisdiction.

The idea of Masonic brotherhood probably descends from a 16th-century legal definition of a 'brother' as one who has taken an oath of mutual support to another.

Accordingly, Masons swear at each degree to keep the contents of that degree secret, and to support and protect their brethren unless they have broken the law.

Freemasonry offers only three traditional degrees, and in most jurisdictions, the rank of past or installed master.

'Master Masons' are also able to extend their Masonic experience by taking further degrees, in appendant bodies, approved by their own Grand Lodge.

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite is a system of 33 Degrees (including the three lodge degrees - see above) administered by a local or national Supreme Council.

This system is popular in North America and in Continental Europe.

The 'York Rite', with a similar range, administers three orders of Masonry, namely the 'Royal Arch', 'Cryptic Masonry' and 'Knights Templar'.

In Britain, separate bodies administer each order.

Rituals in Freemasonry refer to King Solomon and the building of his Temple in Jerusalem.
Masonic buildings, where lodges and their members meet, are sometimes called 'Temples' as an allegoric reference to King Solomon's Temple

According to the Hebrew Bible, Solomon's Temple, also known as the 'First Temple', was the Holy Temple (Hebrew: בֵּית־הַמִּקְדָּשׁ: Beit HaMikdash) in ancient Jerusalem before its destruction by Nebuchadnezzar II after the Siege of Jerusalem of 587 BCE.
The period in which the First Temple actually, stood in Jerusalem, is known in academic literature as the 'First Temple Period' (c.1000-586 BCE).
During the Kingdom of Judah, the temple was dedicated to Yahweh, and is said to have housed the 'Ark of the Covenant'.
Jewish historian Josephus says that "the temple was burnt four hundred and seventy years, six months, and ten days after it was built".
According to the Jewish scriptural sources, the Temple was constructed under Solomon, during the united monarchy of Israel and Judah.
According to the Jewish Scripture, Hiram I of Tyre furnished architects, workmen and cedar timbers for the temple of his ally King Solomon.
The Temple was of Phoenician design.
1 Kings 6:1 puts the date of the beginning of building the temple "in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel".
The conventional dates of Solomon's reign are circa 970 to 931 BCE, and this puts the date of its construction in the mid-10th century BCE.
Jewish scripture indicates that it took King Solomon 7 years to build the Temple.

At the center of the Temple was the 'Holy of Holies', (or 'Kodesh ha Kodashim' in Hebrew), which was also called the 'Inner House' (6:27), (Heb. 9:3) and was 20 cubits in length, breadth, and height - a perfect cube.
The usual explanation for the discrepancy between its height and the 30-cubit height of the temple is that its floor was elevated, like the 'cella' of other ancient temples.
The 'Holy of Holies' was floored and wains-cotted with cedar of Lebanon (1 Kings 6:16), and its walls and floor were overlaid with gold (6:20, 21, 30) amounting to 600 talents (2 Chr. 3:8) or roughly 20 metric tons.
There was a two-leaved door between the 'Holy of Holies' and the 'Holy Place' - that door being overlaid with gold (2 Chr. 4:22)
There was also a veil of 'tekhelet' (blue, purple, and crimson), made of fine linen (2 Chronicles 3:14).
The 'Holy of Holies' had no windows (1 Kings 8:12) and was considered the 'dwelling-place' of the of God.
The 'Kodesh ha Kodashim' ('Holy of Holies') was prepared to receive, and to house, the Ark (1 Kings 6:19); which was placed there when the Temple was dedicated (1 Kings 8:6).

The Ark of the Covenant (Hebrew: אָרוֹן הַבְּרִית) is a gold-covered wooden chest, with a lid, as described in the Jewish Book of Exodus.
According to the Jewish Book of Exodus, God guided Moses to Jebel esh-Shera' (Se'ir), and there God showed Moses the pattern for the tabernacle and furnishings of the Ark to be made of acasia wood.
The Book of Exodus gives detailed instructions on how the Ark is to be constructed.
It is to be 21⁄2 cubits in length, 11⁄2 in breadth, and 11⁄2 in height (approximately 131×79×79 cm or 52×31×31 in).
It is to be gilded entirely with gold, and a crown or molding of gold is to be put around it.
Four rings of gold are to be attached to its four corners, two on each side - and through these rings staves of shittim-wood overlaid with gold for carrying the Ark are to be inserted.
A golden lid, the 'kapporet' which is covered with two gold cherubim, is to be placed above the Ark to form the space where God will appear in a visible form, technically known as the 'Shekinah'

And as it was said in fictional 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'

"the Ark is a transmitter - a radio for speaking to God."

From Iraq through Phoenicia to Phoenix Arizona, whether by design or coincidence, the 33rd parallel passes through numerous very significant places.

The ancient city of Babylon was very near the 33rd-degree latitude line, while modern Baghdad is actually on the 33rd parallel.
This area was once thought by many to have been the actual 'Garden of Eden'.
Heading West, the line passes through Damascus, Beirut, and onto two Templar castles - one of which is exactly on the 33rd latitude - the other at 32.71.
Tyre lies 20 miles from that latitude.
Masonic author Albert Pike suggests that Tyre was the seat of the 'Osirian Mysteries', and it was there that the two original massive pillars stood that were later known as 'Joachin' and 'Boaz'.
These pillars are represented in every Masonic lodge around the world.

According to Jewish scripture, Boaz and Jachin were two copper, brass or bronze pillars which stood on the porch of Solomon's Temple, the first Temple in Jerusalem. They are often used as symbols in Freemasonry. They were probably not support structures, but were free standing, based on similar pillars found in other nearby Canaanite temples. The pillars had a size nearly six feet (1.8 metres) thick and 27 feet (8.2 metres) tall. The eight-foot (2.4 metres) high brass capitals, on top of the columns bore decorations, in brass, of lilies. The original measurement as taken from the Torah was in cubits, which records that the pillars were 18 cubits high and 12 cubits around, and hollow - four fingers thick. (Jeremiah 52:21–22). Nets of checker-work covered the bowl of each capital, decorated with rows of 200 pomegranates, wreathed with seven chains for each capital, and topped with lilies (1 Kings 7:13–22, 41–42) . According to the first-century Romano-Jewish scholar Josephus book 'Antiquities of the Jews', Boaz (Hebrew בֹּעַז boʿaz 'In him/it [is] strength') stood on the left on the portico of Solomon's Temple, while Jachin (Hebrew יָכִין yakin 'He/it will establish') stood on the right, and the two were made by an Israelite craftsman named Hiram. The pillars apparently did not survive the destruction of the First Temple; Jeremiah 52:17 reports: "The Chaldeans broke up the bronze columns of the House of the Lord". II Kings 25:13 has a similar account. The pillars were carried away in pieces for ease of transportation. When the Second Temple was built, they were not returned and there exists no record of new pillars being constructed to replace them.

Crossing the Atlantic ocean, the 33rd parallel brings us to Charleston, South Carolina.
This city is the original 'home' of Scottish Rite Masonry in U.S.
Charleston’s Fort Sumter is the location of the first shot fired in the American Civil War when Carolina succeeded from the Union.

Albert Pike (see above) was a 33rd degree Mason, who rose to be the 'Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite'.
He was significant in that it is believed that he founded the KKK, or Ku Klux Klan - featured in Griffith's epic film 'Birth of a Nation', based on the novel, 'The Clansman'.
The letter K is the eleventh letter in the alphabet so 11 + 11 + 11 = 33.

'The Clansman: A Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan', is a novel published in 1905. It was the second work in the Ku Klux Klan trilogy by Thomas Dixon Jr. that also included 'The Leopard's Spots' and 'The Traitor'. It presents the Ku Klux Klan heroically. The novel, which Dixon wrote in thirty days, working sixteen hours a day, was twice notably adapted - immediately by its author as a highly successful play entitled 'The Clansman' (1905) - and a decade later by D. W. Griffith in the famous 1915 movie 'The Birth of a Nation'. The 20th-century revival of the Ku Klux Klan is a direct result of its glorification by Dixon.

Albert Pike donated his huge and remarkable library to the 'House of the Temple' in Washington, D.C., at 1733 Sixteenth St. NW.
In addition, his remains lie in the 'House of the Temple', which is now the headquarters of the Southern Jurisdiction of the Masonic Scottish Rite.

John F Kennedy

Coincidence or not, Dallas, Texas, was of course where President Kennedy was assassinated - but remember, in the America where Jim and the Penthouse Gang live, J F Kennedy was killed during the Second World War, so there was no President Kennedy, and no 'Dallas assassination' - but there was in other 'worlds' - and maybe there was in yours. (see 'The Multiverse').
Not only is Dallas on the 33rd parallel, but also the date of the assassination (if it happened), was 22nd of the 11th - which add up to 33 !)
While writers on this subject often, and quite rightly include Roswell, New Mexico (see above), we will go on to Phoenix, Arizona.
This was once the center of the Hohokam culture.
The largest Hohokam site, known as 'Snaketown', is only five miles from the 33rd parallel, and the observatory called 'Casa Grande' is five miles from the line as well.
Here this advanced ancient culture built 500 miles of canals irrigating 25,000 acres.

The only launchpad at White Sands, New Mexico, is Launchpad 33 !
The first shuttle mission landing took place on Runway 33 !
Exactly 33 minutes after landing on the Moon’s surface, Buzz Aldrin performed a ritual inside the lunar module.
The ritual was a Masonic communion - taken before leaving the module to explore the Moon’s surface.
That communion service dates back beyond the Catholic Church, to mystical rites of the ancient Egyptian religion.
This ceremony also had its roots in the secret societies that existed during that time and ultimately spawned the lodges of Freemasonry around the world today.
The act of Communion is essentially an offering to Osiris.
Besides Egyptian Farouk El-Baz, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin, it very much seems that NASA was (and arguably still is) awash with Freemasons, and those closely connected to Masonic lodges and interests.
Freemason Jeff Edwin Webb served with NASA as its administrator for the majority of the 1960s.
Kenneth S. Kleinknecht, the overall manager of the 'Apollo Program', was a high-ranking member of the same secretive group, and many other notable NASA astronauts also have Masonic ties.
